Arbat area in Moscow truly symbolizes the history of this great city – Arbat recently celebrated its 500th anniversary. It is also one of the most prestigious streets in Moscow where every stone and every building have great historical ties. Russia’s greatest poet Alexander Pushkin stayed here when he visited Moscow, Leo Tolstoy loved to take walks on Arbat street… Today, Arbat is what Moscow’s high society loves to call their home. The granddaughter of Russia’s famous ballerina Anastasia Vertinsky is your neighbor. So is the world-famous psychic healer Juna, the comedian Evgeniy Petrosyan, and the granddaughter of Soviet revolutionary writer Maksim Gorki.
From your sunroom, you will have a wonderful view of the 17th century church, featured in a famous Russian painting by Vasiliy Polenov “Moscovskiy Dvorik” (Moscow Courtyard) – now on permanent display in Tretyakov Gallery.

Smolenskaya area of Central Moscow
This apartment is located in a very well-known area of Moscow called Smolenskaya. The area is home to Old Arbat which leads to the Kremlin. Old Arbat is a pedestrian street full of small shops, cafes, theaters and home to a well known, high quality souvenir market. The area is also right on the Ring Road - Sadovaya street. Both sides of the street are full of businesses and restaurants including Impex Bank, the Golden Ring Hotel, El Patio pizza, Planet of Sushi, different coffee shops McCafe, Coffee House and more. Smolenskaya also is right by Kutuzovsky Prospect, one of Moscow´s most famous thoroughfares. This area is situated just west of the Kremlin. Red Square is within walking distance. When walking towards the Kremlin, you will pass many ancient monuments, theatres and other culturally interesting spots.

Arriving in Russia
To avoid having problems when you arrive or being overcharged by unknown drivers, we highly suggest using our airport and train station transfer service.
