Overview
Within a leisurely stroll from Nevsky Prospect is the historic building of the Helvetia Hotel, with origins dating back to the early 19th century. The hotel’s interiors successfully combine St. Petersburg’s harmonious style with the elegance of European design. An inseparable part of the fasade of impressive buildings along Marata Street, the Helvetia’s wrought-iron gates open onto a spacious, picturesque courtyard. The outside of the hotel, as viewed from the courtyard, gives the impression of a miniature medieval European town, with noble lines and a cheerful atmosphere of comfort and calm.
In 2010 the Helvetia Hotel completed a major renovation project. Since Helvetia is housed in a nineteenth-century mansion protected as a national landmark, the reconstruction accurately preserved all the building’s historic architectural features. Remodeled, remarkably comfortable and in keeping with the spirit of Old Petersburg, the Helvetia Hotel is ready to greet the guests of 2011 on a brand new level of comfort and service.
Directions
As you exit the Pulkovo-2 terminal you will see a bus stop near the Arrival hall. You can either take bus N13 or one of the minibuses: N3, N13, or N113. They all go to Moskovskaya metro station. Take the metro to Ploshad Vosstania metro station. Use the Mayakovskaya exit and go up onto the street - You will be on Nevsky prospect. Turn immediatly around the corner on Marata street. Walk along Marata street, cross the first crossroads, and find building # 11 to your right. The entrance is from Ul. Marata and there is a signboard. The hotel is situated near Swiss consulate.

Arriving in Russia
