Smolensky Lane is a quiet prestigious area right in the city center with all major highlights, business amenities and luxury shopping centers. You can see different sides of Russia – politics, night life, religion – just strolling about.
Look through the window – and you will see British Embassy, right near your house. Two steps down the street – and you’re on the embankment of the river Moskva, looking at the Russian White House, where the most important events in modern Russian history took place. In 1993 during the constitutional crisis, tank artillery nearly destroyed the building and caused a major fire. The renovated White House now houses the Russian government.
5 minutes walk in other direction – and you find yourself in the New Arbat Street with it's posh shops, pubs, casinos and cafes.
On the way to Smolenskaya metro station you are passing a beautiful Russian Ortodox Church, built in the 17th century.

Smolenskaya area of Central Moscow
This apartment is located in a very well-known area of Moscow called Smolenskaya. The area is home to Old Arbat which leads to the Kremlin. Old Arbat is a pedestrian street full of small shops, cafes, theaters and home to a well known, high quality souvenir market. The area is also right on the Ring Road - Sadovaya street. Both sides of the street are full of businesses and restaurants including Impex Bank, the Golden Ring Hotel, El Patio pizza, Planet of Sushi, different coffee shops McCafe, Coffee House and more. Smolenskaya also is right by Kutuzovsky Prospect, one of Moscow´s most famous thoroughfares. This area is situated just west of the Kremlin. Red Square is within walking distance. When walking towards the Kremlin, you will pass many ancient monuments, theatres and other culturally interesting spots.
