Overview
The hotel is located on Kirov Square in the center of Irkutsk. It is an old Soviet style hotel that has seen better days, however, there are a number of decent, Western renovated rooms on the 5, 6 and 7th floors. It is one of the largest hotels in Irkutsk with 220 rooms and 475 sleeping places.

Angara has both renovated and unrenovated rooms. The unrenovated ones of course are much cheaper than the renovated ones but they are much less comfortable and extremely Soviet in nature. On the renovated 5, 6, and 7th floors there are 77 renovated single rooms, 74 renovated double rooms and deluxe rooms. The rooms on the 5th and 6th floors have air conditioning while the 7th floor does not. The 2nd and 4th floors have unrenovated rooms. The 2nd, 4th and 7th floor rooms have breakfast included in their price - the 5th and 6th floor rooms do not.
